Some clarification about your request

Dear Roy Murray, Thank you for your submission. The committee is excited at the potentially large benefit to Ireland's Wikimedia community as a result of your participation in Train the Trainers! We do have a few questions. Please provide some clarification about your request to help us with our decision-making process.

• We understand that this is a Wikimedia UK event. Have you approached them for help in funding your travel?
• Thank you for adding the travel cost on your submission. You also mentioned that you would like WMF to book travel and hotel. Would you please add the possible hotel cost you might need for this trip? We do need you to provide us with a complete budget breakdown and total funding cost for your request, even if WMF will be booking on your behalf (if your request is approved).

Thanks Janice. To clarify, I did not approach Wikimedia UK for help as this was the link that I was given to apply for funding. However, I did ask the event organisers if they could provide accommodation and they agreed that they would confirm as soon as registration was completed. Funding for hotel accommodation will not be necessary.--InformationAgent (talk) 20:06, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Request funded

Thank you for your reply and providing clarification, InformationAgent. We also appreciate your efforts on securing funding from WMUK for your accommodations. Although this Wikimedia event already has its own funding via WMUK, we understand from discussions with WMUK staff that funding travel to this event from Ireland is outside the scope of their budget. As such, we are happy to cover this gap and fund your request for your flight cost. Your reasonably budgeted submission demonstrates strong benefits to the Irish community, and there is also the likelihood for cross-community impact.
