Expenses

I am informed that I didn't submit any documantation for my expenses for the event. I wasn't aware of that I had to do such thing back then. I asked how I can resolve this issue, and I am told that I can just give information on this page, as much as I can remember of course because it's been 9 years.

First, I have received a full scholarship which includes the transportation, accommodation and food during the event. When I was informed that I received the scholarship, I replied that I don't have a passport and I am going to apply for it. The answer was about transferring me some amount to cover my passport expenses. Therefore, I replied them that I need 250 TRY (source) for a 2 year passport (I don't have the e-mail but Asaf Bartov must have it). And instead of that amount, I received USD$250 (the equivalent to 645 TRY at that time). I replied that it's more than I asked, and the reply was that I can use the rest of it for the other expenses during the event that are not covered. After the passport fees, I had 400 TRY (USD$155) left.

The other expenses related with the event were arrival to the airport in Istanbul, the tax when a Turkish citizen goes abroad, arrival to the hotel from the airport. I had stayed 1 night more before and 1 night more after the event (the hotel was included but not the food, as much as I remember), so food expenses during those days (and other food expenses during the event of course). Arrival to the airport from the hotel, and arrival to my home from the airport. So they were my expenses, and I am sorry that I wasn't aware of such process. Nanahuatl (talk) 06:47, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
