Participation

Could you clarify what form your participation in the event would take? Are you just attending and hoping to have some conversations with fellow attendees? Will you be presenting something as part of the program? Ijon 01:02, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Public transportation

Also, the details about public transportation seem to contradict Solstag's request, where he seems to intend to use the bus to get to the airport. Could one of you clarify? Ijon 01:02, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Despite the contrast with my request, I think Rodrigo's request is reasonable in this respect. I know my way around Rio de Janeiro quite well and, besides, "I more ghetto" (LOL). Decent people in Rio usually take a cab at least to and from the airport. He is wrong, as a matter of fact, in that there is public transportation, but it's not reliable and is kind of messy to get to, so the usual is indeed to not consider it. About the value, depending on which airport he arrives at it might cost more than R$80 to get from and to by taxi, so he's right that it is an understatement. Also, this would be only for Rio, as I understand he is not considering taxis to and from the airport in São Paulo, nor is he including any transportation within Rio in his request. --Solstag 04:48, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I'm not including transport to the airport in Sao Paulo, because the price could increase by over 60 reais. It also does not include transportation within the city, I will be paid by me.
