Dedicated to User:Halibutt
[edit]While finishing up this proposal on January 31st, we were hit by the very sad news that Krzysztof Machocki (Halibutt) had passed away. Krzysztof's enthusiasm and energy will be sorely missed in the CEE community and we aim to emulate his dedication to the ideas we all hold dear in the years to come. Therefore this year's edition of CEE Spring is dedicated to his memory. Braveheart (talk) 20:55, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Braveheart, thank you for this lovely dedication. May people at the Wikimedia Foundation have been deeply touched by Halibutt's life and by his contribution to the Wikimedia movement. I am glad that this year's CEE Spring will include a tribute to him. --Marti (WMF) (talk) 02:17, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
