Add topicQuestions from Superzerocool
[edit]Hi Vsuarezp, thanks for your proposal. I have some questions to do:
- In the project development you're considering write some articles, how you could avoid the "pay-for-edit" in yourself?
- Do you have any idea or study if the people in the rural areas has idea about Internet and computers (aka, digital gap)?. In some workshops in other countries, the rural editors don't have idea about how to navigate in Internet.
- You're thinking about make a training at least 1 staff member from institutions, how many institutions are you thinking: the radio and the archive or more institutions?.
- About the handbook, are you considering use some model or just develop a new one?
- Has you tell to asturian Wikipedia community about your project?. I don't see the community notification, but there is some endorsement.

Answers from Vsuarezp
[edit]Hi Superzerocool, I think the wording of my proposal has not been quite correct because many doubts like yours are emerging. I will try to answer your questions:
- This is not "paid editing". The articles will be created by the users, my role will be to coordinate all activities and help with uploading images and documentation
- I know the rural area where the project is going to take place. The city council makes available to its population training courses on the Internet and has several computers for free use. In my experience with the people of the town I did not perceive any digital gap.
- Institutions: The largest institutions in the locality are willing to participate: The Radio House, the Archive, the library and the City hall staff (Including the computer teacher or even the mayor). In the various activities, professionals from other sectors such as school teachers and free-time monitors are very likely to be involved.
- Handbook: In our language there is none so this would be the first. In addition we can not use models since this manual would be directed to the Asturian rural population keeping in mind the resources that they have to edit.
- Asturian Wikipedia community: Our community of active users is very very small and we all know each other so they know about this project. However, you are right and I will notify publicly.
I hope I have answered your questions properly --Vsuarezp 10:55, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answers Vsuarezp. Your proposal isn't wrong: these questions are common to do if there is some doubts in the committee about some topics. Nice to see that is a new initiative to bring Wikipedia from the rural world to us, especially in Asturian language. Regards Superzerocool (talk) 16:57, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
