Add topicMore Information regarding this project
[edit]1. Locations: (a) Morogoro Region - Morogoro town centers which will comprise Jordan University College and St. Joseph University. (Event 1) - Mzumbe University and Sokoine University (Event 2)
- All the events will focus on increase the number of new editors and skills development of the ongoing editors
(b) UDOM - University of Dodoma (Event 2) - St. John's University of Tanzania & Institute of Rural Development Planning (Event 1) with a participation of few members from UDOM
- These event are focused on creating awareness on Wikimedia foundation projects to new editors (students). With new two Universities we will be able to introduce them to the platforms.
2. (a) why are the events are important The events are important due to that we have noticed the Swahili Wikipedia having very few articles on Olympics. However basing on the quick survey done: there is high demand on this articles to the people mostly the youths.
Furthermore, UniStu Love Wiki is always trying to focus on different topics on each event so as to give room to many different editors to join the program. We are doing this so as every editor is free to choose a desired topic/topic of interest to work on.
(b) what we expect o archive
- In these in-person events: we expect to create awareness to students over Wikimedia Foundation and its role on high level education.
- We expect our editor team to grow bigger due to that many students will be joining us.
- We will have more contributions mostly in Swahili Wikipedia which still has few articles.
