Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group/Editathons at Goethe Institut/Report
Add topicAccepted Report[edit]
Hello Geugeor thank you for all the work you did on this project. I enjoyed looking at the photos of both the events you put together as well as the neighborhood of Yaoundé. Some observation and comments I wanted to share with you are:
- I'm glad that you're thinking of extending the project by 3 to 4 months for next time and that you're thinking of having more time dedicated to article creation and translation. I think you had the right set up in your proposal but you must take a more focused approach to accomplish the article creation piece since you did have five months where you were actively conducting this project.
- For your next editathon I would recommend creating articles either around the specific neighborhoods you photographed or buildings such as schools, churches and colleges instead of doing another field trip and editathon combination so you can build on what you've already done.
- For future reports please use the Grant metrics tool to track your volunteers and link to the articles created so we can follow the great work the editors are putting into the project.
- Lastly, I wanted to ask how you wanted to proceed with the remaining funds from this grant. Are you planning on applying to another grant or would you like to return the funds? Please let us know.
I am accepting your report and expense documentation. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 03:23, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello WJifar (WMF) (talk),
Thank you for all your remarks, your advice and your proposals that will allow us to improve. We will take it into account for the future. As for the use of remaining funds, I think we will use them already for the meetings scheduled at Goethe on November 10th and December 8th, 2018 and after we will evaluate. I'll let you know for the future. Thanks again for everything.
