Hi, Bodhisattwa, thank you for submitting this new rapid grant request. We noticed one preliminary issue with the application that needs to be addressed:

  • Rapid grants have a one-year limit. Could you please update the start and end dates to be no longer than one calendar year?

Please let us know if you have any questions and please continue to watch this page from questions, comments, and updates from us. Best regards, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 02:24, 11 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Bodhisattwa, please disregard the earlier comment! I misread your grant start and end dates; they are fine and do not need to be adjusted.

We have received a high volume of grant requests, which might delay our review. We appreciate your patience and will review your grant request as soon as possible.

Additional Comments from WMF[edit]

Hello Bodhisattwa, thank you for your patience as we worked through the high volume of proposals we've received. I am ready to proceed with your proposal; however, I don't see any numbers associated with your impact section. Could you please add numbers to this list on the proposal page?

  • Number of total participants
  • Number of articles created or improved
  • Number of books proofread
  • Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons
  • Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects

The other thing I wanted to note was that you mention giving scholarships. Unfortunately, we are no longer allowing grantees to give cash to others in the program. Will you be able to track receipts for their transport and such so you can account for their expenses? Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 04:16, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi @WJifar (WMF):, thanks for your reply. As this grant is for one-year long activities of a number of projects, it would be very difficult to quantify the impact right from now. But as per your suggestion, I have added some numbers to the impact section, but that may not exactly tally with the outcome at the end of the year.
Firstly these are not scholarships per se, these are basically reimbursements of expenditures to conduct a project, and will be provided after the completion of the project. If you check our previous rapid grant report which has already been accepted, you can find that we conducted similar projects last time and have submitted all receipts for each one of them. This year too, we guarantee to provide the receipts of all our program. To avoid confusion, these are all user group projects, but conducted by different Wikimedians, so we, as a user group, are solely accountable for all of them. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 04:50, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
