[edit]Hello Magotech, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant request. I’ve completed the initial review and have some questions:
- We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the Wikimedia community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wikis? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
- Given that User:Jadnapac is involved, I’d like to confirm if this grant is requested on behalf of Wikimedia Community User Group Tanzania?
- Additionally, will any other organization be engaged in this project?
- Which colleges and universities will be involved in this project? Have you already reached out to them?
- Do you have a list of articles to work on? Also, how will you track participants’ contributions?
- In which city of Tanzania do you plan to run these events?
- Could you confirm that “working space” expenses will cover costs for the event venue?
Thank you for planning this project and for your contributions to Wikimedia projects. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:22, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi, 1. All the links have been updated kindly see the proposal page 2. The requested grant is not on behalf of the Wikimedia Community User Group Tanzania, however User:Jadnapac is entitled to participate in the program so as to power up the project. However, you can contact him for verification over this event 3. No other organization will be involved in this project rather we will be communicating and collaborating with the members of the Wikimedia Community User Group Tanzania. 4. Currently we are focused on the following Colleges & Universities: Jordan University College, Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Mzumbe University, St. Joseph College (Kihonda), and Social Education Center (SEC). Communication has been made to all the listed above institutions and they are ready to participate once the project takes-off. 5. Yes we have a list of articles we will be working on (being enlarged depending on user suggestions), please find the list here. We will keep track of all the activities using the outreach dashboard as it more efficient and friendly to many users including the new editors. 6. We are currently planning to run these events in the Morogoro region in Tanzania as an initial start; however we are focused on engaging more regions in the future. 7. Yes, I confirm that “working space” expenses will cover costs for the event venue. Regards, Magotech (talk) 07:57, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
Project Reschedule
[edit]Hello,
We are writing this to notify the public that we are as the running team at UniStu Love Wiki program are requesting to reschedule the program's end date from 12th August 2021 to 30th July 2021. This is due to that many students (College and Universities) will be in holiday thus we won't be able to have together meetups. However, as per the project documentation all the targeted goals will be met within the requested time. Feel free to review this request. Thank you
Regards
