Change request - line-items
[edit]I ask for change in line-items within the budget beyond the 20% threshold.
The complete updated budgt table:
- outreach: 220 EUR
- 150,90 EUR for Facebook page likes (+50,90 EUR)
- 109,10 EUR for directing visitors to contest page (-10,90 euro)
- prizes: 445 EUR
- African newcomers: 225 EUR (-40 euro)
- regular contributors - writing: 90 EUR
- regular contributors - translating: 90 EUR
total: 665 EUR
Rationale:
- Some budgeted prizes for Africa newcommers are unused because of non-eligibility.
- Adding the unused funds fron underspend line-items in this time make sense only for increassing Facebook page likes (from the budgeted line-items).
Effects for the project:
- The total budget is not changed.
- The project activities will be same, just with more focus on getting Facebook page likes.
- Having a larger social media followers from the targeted project audience is supposed to increase long-term beneficial effects of the project. It allows us to use this larger targeted audience to build a long-term relationships with more prospective editors from this underrepresented community. As a concequence, we can help more prospective editors to become editors - both in the usual whole-year-long outreach, and also in specific projects, including a possible African month Esperanto in future. In a sence, it is a re-utilizing unspent short-term outcomes to help build better long-term outcomes.
