Add topicApplication moved to draft
[edit]Hi, Wikitanvir, thank you for submitting this rapid grant application. I have changed its status to "draft" because it was submitted outside our application window. Per our Guidelines and Criteria we only accept applications between the 1st and 15th of each month. Please feel free to change its status back to "proposed" between the 1st and 15th of any month. When you do, please email rapidgrants to let us know.
We also kindly request that you make the following edits when you re-propose your grant:
- Please note that per our Guidelines and Criteria we do not permit grantees to give cash prizes. Please edit your application to indicate that your prizes will be gift certificates, gift cards, vouchers, or items instead.
- We've been encouraging all our grantees to scale back on t-shirts. We have recognized that they are high-cost items with low-impact and are also not as inclusive as other items, since you're limited in getting specific sizes for participants. Given that you are already planning to give prizes, certificates, and mugs to winners, as well as gifts to the jury, please remove t-shirts from your budget.
Please let us know if you have questions and we look forward to reviewing your application once your re-propose it. Warmly, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 01:30, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Lindsey, thanks for your response. I will change the status to 'proposed' again on May 1, 2019.
- Firstly, we don't plan to give cash prizes. I forgot what WMF mentioned during a previous grant. I changed the wording to prize bonds which is a good cash alternative. But it could also be something else other than cash. Secondly, even if we avoid giving t-shirts as gifts, we still need about 20 t-shirts for the volunteers who'll be assisting in organizing the various programs during the contest. Let me know what you think about that. — T. 10:07, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

Comments from WMF
[edit]Hello, Wikitanvir; thank you for your submission. We have the following questions and comments that need to be addressed:
- Your budget includes 50 T-shirts. As Lindsey mentioned, we are no longer supporting the acquisition of many T-shirts; we are typically only accepting 5-10 per event. The idea is that T-shirts should only be given to people who will truly wear them again in other Wikimedia events, like a core group of recurring volunteers.
- Can you please give us more detailed budgets for the photowalks and the ceremony?
Regards, MMontes (WMF) (talk) 12:47, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hi MMontes (WMF), as per your suggestion, I have reduced number of t-shirts to 10.
- Photowalks: 5 photowalks will be held in 4 Divisions of Bangladesh. 5 or 6 people will participate in each photowalks. Most of those protected area are located outside the city. The cost is for Lunch, water, light refreshments, entry fee and bus transportation of the participants.
- Price giving ceremony: Venue: 12000, Refreshment: 100 * 30 (30 participants: winners, volunteers, WMBD person, guests) = 3000, Banner+x stand = 4000, others = 1000. — T. 04:14, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
