Hello Em-mustapha, thanks for submitting this grant request. I have completed the initial review and have some questions and comments:

• Do you or other team members have experience in working with translatewiki.net?
• Could you please provide the link to your WhatsApp and Telegram groups?
• Also, could you please provide some stats about the Hausa translations of MediaWiki? What part is translated? Which groups of messages do you plan to translate during this event? What is your priority for translations?
• How will you make sure that the translations are accurate? Will you have language experts?

Budget:

• Please reduce food costs to 10 USD per person. Please offer only lunch or breakfast. You may also include a coffee break.
• Reduce Event Hall costs to 200 USD maximum.
• Please remove banner costs because you already have it from a previous project.

Hi DSaroyan (WMF), thank you for following up on this, find my reply below.

• Yes! I have experience in working with the translatewiki.net. I have an account as User:Em-em and have been translating on the project but seeing the quantity of the translations and the needs to involve others is also the reason I proposed this project.
• Here are the links to our main WhatsApp and Telegram Groups which I created and have all the active editors in them: WhatsApp Hausa Wikimedians User Group, Telegram Wikimedia Hausa
• Please, find the stats here, where only one percentage of the Mediawiki is currently translated Mediawiki message group translations stats
• Yes, language experts will be invited and we are not involving every editor for this project but only people that have experience in translations that will participate.
