Comments from I JethroBT (WMF)[edit]

Hello Fouadas, and thanks for your report on the The Art on our Mind research project. Here are my comments and questions:

  • We have not received expense documentation for your Rapid Grant. Could you send receipts and other documentation to rapidgrants(_AT_)wikimedia.org?
Sent an email with the link to the folder containing documentation of expenses and admin. --Fouadas (talk) 08:59, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Congratulation on receiving such high participation in your events! I want to reassure you that while retention is a nice outcomes for events, we understand that not all participants will be able to become long term members of the movement. That said, there is still a lot of value in introducing Wikimedia projects and orienting communities about how they can be used.
Thank you, there are always moments which are rewarding when running Wikipedia workshops.--Fouadas (talk) 08:59, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Thank you for your detailed responses to our questions. I'm really glad you shared your learning about the challenges your participants are facing when it comes to engaging with Wikimedia projects, such as a lack of access to devices, the costs of data, and limited time to volunteer working on article content. Setting aside disruptions from the pandemic, these kinds of challenges are important to document because they will support you (and others in the movement) to set goals that match the capacity of your community. Given those kinds of challenges, it is not our expectation that every community is going to be able to contribute to Wikimedia projects in the same way. But any community's participation in the movement is valuable, so we are glad you have taken the time to invite and support them.
  • Do you have a link available to document the number of articles added/improved as well as photos added?
There are still a number of articles in the works, you can find the articles on our website:
