Hello Ferdinand IF99, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund proposal. I have reviewed your grant submission and I have a few questions and requests:

• Can you provide more details on how exactly you plan to improve Kirundi articles? What kind of events will you be running? How will you make sure that the desired articles are improved and mistakes are corrected? How will you analyze these articles?
• Are you native Kirundi speakers? Will participants also be Kirundi speakers? I'm sorry if this question doesn't make any sense.
• I see that you and User:Gilbert Ndihokubwayo have only a few edits on rn.wiki. Do you have any other editors in the team who have more experience in editing on rn.wiki? Is there any active Wikimedia community on rn.wiki?
• I can see that you had some issues with editing the main page of rn.wiki. Did you find anyone who can support you? What exactly do you want to change on the main page?
• Budget:
  • BREAFAST & LUNCH - please reduce this expense to 12 USD per person maximum.
  • Unforeseen expenses - please reduce this expense to 50 USD maximum.
  • Please update the requested budget after making these changes.

Hello DSaroyan (WMF),

• First is to know those articles that are in need of improvement and we will have debate on these articles to have a lot of information and very clear ideas on it. The articles will be edited by Burundians who know the kirundi language well. we will help new editors by having online meetings with editors in the sub-region who have experience dans l'edition des articles like NDAHIRO Derrick from wikimedia community user group rwanda and others.

We will organize debate events, online events,and trainings events Because kirundi is our mother language it will make our job esier because we will write what we understand well, the fact that we speak kirundi, it will help to see the mistakes and to see that we have carrected the articles.

• Yes I am native Kirundi speakers and participants all so will be Kirundi speakers.
• Yes we have a team on rn.wiki and we have others editors but like kirundi and kinyarwanda are similar language we will work with the rwandan theam who are experienced more than us. we have an active Wikimedia community on rn.wiki.
• Thank you for asking me this question. On this topic had some issues I received advice [[1]] But truly I did not have someone who helps me to modify the main page of rn.wikipedia what I want to change on the main page is to change the page by putting it in the kirundi language because it helps contributors to this wikipedia to know what to do to contribute and also it helps to reduce certain errors made because perhaps they do not understand the french language well. Also we wanted to change the design so that the page becomes more welcoming. In our community we do not have someone who have experience in coding but if you have someone who can help us we can collaborate to give him the ideas.

request an extended deadline of GUHUBURA2022 Project

Hello Davit Saroyan, I hope you are doing well. I am writing this email to ask for an exended deadline of GUHUBURA2022 Project . If it is possible to add some days to the project it will be helpfull. Since the grant arrived a little late, April 06th, 2022. We need a little time so that the participants of this project can participate and contribute well. if it's possible we suggest that on May 14th,2022 will be our end date of the project . Thank you for your understanding.
