[edit]Hello Ebenezer Mlay, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant request. We are excited to see that you are planning to organize other edit-a-thons for the Arusha community in Tanzania! I have reviewed your proposal and have the following comments and questions.
- Please submit your report and expense documentation for 1Lib1Ref 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania project before 25 February 2020, so we can move on with this current request.
- What is the purpose of renting professional cameras for your edit-a-thons?
- Could you please edit the proposal adding the links to the social media groups you created?
Thank you again for your contribution to the Wikimedia Movement! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 13:00, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello DSaroyan (WMF), thank you for your response on the Rapid Grant request. Thanks for reviewing the proposal and below I have left the replies for the comments and answers to the quetions.
- I have already submitted the report and expense documentation for 1Lib1Ref 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania project
- The purpose of renting proffesional cameras is to have quality photos that could be used in different occasions like the social media and upload to the wikicommons. On the social media pages it would be easy for the pages to standout so the engagement of people in Arusha would increase therefore this is one of the strategy to let more people know about the movement and join to be part of it.
- I have provided the link for the social media pages on the proposal.

Request for extension of the report due date to 25th June 2020
[edit]I am requesting for the extension of the report due date as I did not meet the due date that was set. I could not meet the due date because of the reason that I conducted two out of a series of three editathons that I planned to do. I couldn’t conduct the third editathon after receiving an email from WMF that I should not conduct any physical event due the pandemic. I received this email one day before conducting the event so I had to cancel it. I made all the possible preparations for the event and thus I used the grant money for preparations of the cancelled event. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions I was confused of whether to write the report or wait until when everything gets back to normal. After communicating with one of the WMF staffs today is when I realised I have not taken the right approach to this. I apologize and request for the extension of the due date of my report submission to 25th June. I hope my request will be taken to consideration. Ebenezer Mlay (talk) 17:27, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
