Comments from WMF

[edit]

Hello CyberTroopers, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request. We are excited that you are planning to run the Wiki Loves Earth contest in Malaysia! I have reviewed you request and have a few comments that I would like you to address.

  • Per the Rapid Grant Guidelines, the grant requests must be at least 500 USD. I suggest changing your budget to meet the minimum, perhaps by increasing the budget for prizes or by adding other eligible expenses, such as paid ads for social media promotion.
  • Given that this grant will be credited to the Wikimedia Community User Group Malaysia, please change the grant type to "organization".
  • In the proposal you have mentioned that you had published a complete list of protected areas. Could you please include a link to this list in the request page?

I will look forward to your response! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 09:11, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fund receiving

[edit]

@DSaroyan (WMF): We have received the funds on 25 June but it's not same as the requested. We received RM2417.70 minus RM3 for the international transfer charge so the remaining is RM2414.70. CyberTroopers (talk) 23:38, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello CyberTroopers, thank you for confirming receipt of funds! We are pleased wired funds were successfully received on your end. I'm sorry that you have received less than expected; please update your budget accordingly
Remember that your approved grant submission is now final and should not be changed. Date extension

[edit]

Hi! I would like to ask for extension on the report submission due to the extension of the contest deadline, Wiki Loves Earth 2020 in Malaysia. We're unable to send the complete data as the contest ended on 31 July. At first, the contest were planned to end on 30 June, unfortunately the Restrictions of Movement Order has prohibited participants from entering the protected areas so we've come out with a decision to extend it till end of July to make it fair for the participants. Thank you. CyberTroopers (talk) 13:30, 20 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request to update the reporting due date

[edit]

@DSaroyan (WMF): I'm sorry for a really late notice but we would like to ask for another 10 or 15 days more on the due date because we've technical issues with jurying tool (it's now still under maintainance) and this is really affecting our report submission as most of our prizes in the budget is depends on the winner results. I hope it can be considered. We deeply sorry about this. CyberTroopers (talk) 10:26, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello CyberTroopers, I understand the challenges that you are now facing due to the jury tool and offering you another 15 days to submit the report. Your reporting due date is now 15 September 2020. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:30, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
