Hi @DSaroyan (WMF):, For over a month, the status of my grant is still in draft form, even after providing the answers to your concerns for the reports. I am wondering what is blocking the process. Yves Madika (talk) 09:11, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Comments from I JethroBT (WMF)[edit]

Hello Yves Madika, and thanks for this proposal to support Art+Feminism activities in Lubumbashi. We apologize for the long delay in reviewing the proposal. Here are my comments and questions around your activities:

  • We have updated the language for question #2 for Rapid Grant applications, and applicants are now required to provide on-wiki notification to their communities. Are there any on-wiki pages (such as the user group page for Wikimedians of Democratic Republic of Congo User Group) that you can use to inform community members in the DRC about this proposal? Please update this section with a link to these notifications. I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 02:29, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Other than these booklets, are there other materials you will be using for training? What specific skills will you be teaching participants over the two days to support article writing?
  • We have also updated the language for question #3. Please provide links to the usernames of any individuals who will be leading the training activities.
  • Do you have a list of topics or biographies for women in the fields you describe (politics, art, culture, etc.) that participants can consider choosing for their article work?

With thanks, I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 02:29, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello I JethroBT (WMF), glad you commented on my grant application. Here are the answers. I've updated questions #2 and #3 with a community notification link (under construction), this link contains a whole workshop program. I am the main trainer of the workshop, I have good experience with Wikipedia and organizing and facilitating activities. Apart from booklets, Wikipedia itself has a lot of resources that we will try to give the learners the necessary for their start on Wikipedia.
In the future, we will be using a database of women in red from the DRC in several fields, and we are identifying women notaries to make up our list of articles that we will be working on. Thank you. Yves Madika (talk) 21:32, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

New start date & end date[edit]

Hi I JethroBT (WMF),

In view of the time the transfer took, I propose a new start and end date to better respect the procedure. Start date: June 20, 2021 & end date July 20, 2021. Thank you Wikipediament Yves Madika (talk) 05:17, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Yves Madika: Certainly, we understand that transfers can sometimes take longer than expected, so thank you for letting us know about this request. Your new start and end dates are approved, and your final report will be due on August 20, 2021. Thanks, I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 14:14, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

New end date[edit]

Hi I JethroBT (WMF),

My apologies for this second request to postpone the end date of the project, it is beyond our own control. Indeed, since June, the city has experienced an upsurge of contamination at Covid-19; we did not try to take the risk of exploding the community. Since a few days the situation is under control and it is likely that the activity is held the end of this month. As a precautionary measure we ask for a postponement of the end date (September 20) because we don't know what a day can bring. Best regard. Yves Madika (talk) 04:07, 15 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Yves Madika, your request is approved. The new grant end date is September 20 with the reporting due date on October 20, 2021. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 13:07, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
