Feedback for Improvement[edit]

Hello @RukayatAjeigbe Thank you for your interest in supporting your community as a Movement Charter Ambassador. the current endorsements from community members is also good to see. We have reviewed your proposal, and have the following comments and feedback.

  • Do provide more details regarding the number of online meetings you intend to have, as both online and onsite are mentioned.
  • Additionally, do provide more clarity regarding the number of people you intend to hold these conversations with. It would be good to know how many community members you intend to engage with in the course of implementing this project.
  • Finally, in the activities section, please share the list (including links) for the pages you intend to translate for these conversations.
  • Note that budget line items for "research" will not be approved for this program.

As these grants are meant to enable wide community engagement, community endorsements will be taken into consideration for the final decision. Currently, you have none. Does this mean that the Yoruba / Osun community is not informed of your intentions? Please consider including a link to a community conversation where you may already have shared your intentions to apply for this program.

Please respond to these comments on or before Wednesday, the 6th of September. All the best, YPam (WMF) (talk) 17:47, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, YPam (WMF) (talk) for reviewing our proposal. For the feedback:
  • We planned to have a hybrid event (one Physical and One virtual event); the virtual event will accommodate more participants to join the movement strategy conversations. The diverse participation will contribute to the decision-making process in the movement and generally improve conversations about the governance of the movement.
For the number of participants we will be holding conversations with, there will be thirty (30) community members to attend the physical event, and for the virtual event, it will be open to all community members, and their is no restriction to the number of people who will attend the Zoom meeting to enable broad community engagement.
For the Research, I understand that this grant is meant for community engagement, and I will like to seek your approval if it can be pushed to Meals for refreshments during the physical event in addition to what was budgeted initially.
  • We will use different channels, including the meta page, movement strategy forum, Diff, and social media platforms like Facebook, Community WhatsApp group, to create publicity about the program.
The links for the community conversations where I shared my intentions can be found here, the community has been addressed on the community WhatsApp Group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JWwxMvu7gYSHhWGMEa4mBg
  • We will have discussion around the Overview of the Movement strategy, recommendations, and initiatives.
