Overall Positive Feedback[edit]

The proposal is a solid and manageable plan to engage an underrepresented language community, which is an exciting development especially given the recent launch of the Wayúunaiki Wikipedia. It is commendable that the proposal has been adapted from the community engagement package, to respond to the community's specific needs. Additionally, the range of activities detailed seem likely to be and effective means of achieving some of the plans mentioned in the application. YPam (WMF) (talk) 12:15, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Feedback For Improvement[edit]

Project Plan Feedback

  • Please provide more clarity and specifics regarding the project’s primary goal. It is not clear what the project aims to achieve beyond holding a set of activities, which could be seen as ends in themselves rather than as a means to achieve a specific goal.
  • A key component of the Community Engagement Package is for MSIG trainings to be conducted. The current application does not provide any details regarding this and so this makes it difficult to asses the impact potential of the project. Additionally, the proposed activities do not appear to be aligned with this objective either.
  • The project team should please provide more clarity on the project scope. Currently, there is an emphasis on the need for both leadership and engagement/awareness, which could potentially align with Initiative 33 (Leadership Development Plan) or both Initiative 3 and Initiative 33. Clarifying the scope and objectives of the project would be helpful in assessing its impact potential as well.

On the budget

  • Please provide details on the specific roles of the workshop coordinator and logistics coordinator and how each role differs from those of the support role for instance.
  • Note that movement strategy grants do not support the purchase of equipment or other hardware, but where the rental of such equipment might be necessary, this could be supported. Please provide clarity and explanations for budget items related to the purchase of equipment or other hardware.
  • Please note that miscellaneous expenses (or “other” as detailed in the budget) is not expected to exceed 7.5% of the total budget, and is usually expected to cover for things like bank charges, or other minor things.

Please note that the feedback provided is intended to enable the project team to strengthen this proposal, and the project idea generally. Having said that, please update the proposal where necessary, with the details requested, and feel free to also reply to this discussion with any additional information that might shed more light on the project plans.
