- In what ways do you think this research can support members of the Wikimedia communities in their work on Wikimedia projects?
- Is there a particular project or affiliate in your country/region/project that can benefit from the result of this research and/or you recommend that the applicants seek to coordinate or collaborate with? If so, please provide details including the name of the project or affiliate and a short description of the relevance of the proposal to the needs of the affiliate or project.
- Do you have any other comments or feedback you would like to share with the Research Fund chairs?
Review of Wikidata editors[edit]
This project is primarily concerned with Wikidata so, as a Wikidata administrator, I have assessed the records of the project participants on that project. So far as I can see, the project proposal does not claim any technical expertise by project participants in editing Wikidata. I was only able to identify accounts for two project participants:
Neutral LauretteMarais: They have no contributions at Wikidata- Neutral AarneRanta: In 2021, they made a handful of edits following a tutorial, but they have made no substantive contributions to Wikidata.
I recommend that we do not fund Wikidata projects unless the project participants can establish a significant history of working on Wikidata within the community norms. This proposal does not qualify. Bovlb (talk) 23:24, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
