Not funded

[edit]

Thank you for re-submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner.

After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • The change you are trying to bring is unclear. You replicated the same theory of change as in the not funded proposal in the last round. We acknowledge that you added more information but this information doesn't explain the proposed changes.
  • We think that it's unclear how the approaches and strategies mentioned are aligned with the proposed change.
  • We are not sure if "photowalks to gather random pictures" will bring any substantial impact to Wikimedia projects.
  • We think that team members' roles are unclear. Applicant's and team's experience on the target Wikimedia project is not demonstrated. Please gain more experience on Wikimedia projects as a contributor and trainer. Target participants are not described well.
  • We think that the requested budget is not aligned with the project. In the future please write a detailed grant application that shows impact and the change you want to see; it should not be repetitive and should have well-planned activities and budget that align with your context.

Thanks again for your work for the movement. Wishing you all the best.
