• Lessons learned around the details around administering this grant: for instance, the idea of including several events in one request, taking precautions around bank fees, and your experience with the fiscal sponsor.

Remaining funds

Normally, we only allow grantees to apply remaining funds to a new submission if a new submission is already opened and under review or already approved for funding. See, Grants:Index/Return_unused_funds_to_WMF.

In this case, you have two options:

1. Retain the unused funds with permission until a new grant request is submitted, but this new request must be submitted by 24 July or you will need to return the funds by that date.
2. Reallocate the funds to another mission-aligned use by completing the instructions here: Grants:Index/Request_reallocation.

If your group has use for these funds for other mission-aligned purposes, the second option might make the most sense in this case. Then you'd be able to submit a new grant request whenever your group is ready and receive additional funding if it is approved.
