Remaining funds

[edit]

If you agree, the unused funds in the amount of ARS 84,842.21 will be deducted from the 2nd installation of WMAR's FDC allocation this August. Otherwise, you may elect to return them to WMF. Regards, Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 02:30, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

We prefer that the amount will be deducted from the 2013 grant. Thanks, Osmar Valdebenito (WMAR) (talk) 12:32, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Question about administrative expenses

[edit]

Since you overspent significantly on administration, would you mind breaking down the costs here by line item and offering an explanation for the variances. We would appreciate it! Thank you, Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 02:30, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sure. Here is the list (in Argentine pesos):
Concept ARS USD
Travel allowances 814,31 166,06
Accounting services 10.560,00 2.153,48
Other professional services 10.703,89 2.182,82
Stationary and office supplies 5.976,64 1.218,80
Mailing 310,00 63,22
Office maintenance 4.010,00 817,75
Office rent 44.800,00 9.135,96
Hosting services 1.228,92 250,61
Bank fees 6.425,41 1.310,32
Bank taxes 1.550,77 316,24
TOTAL 86.379,94 17.615,26
The main differences are explained by the fact that a detail of the budget for Administration wasn't really well done and didn't consider a lot of administrative/bureaucratic expenses. Although there were provisions for a "Services" item (including banks fees, accounting, notaries and other services that Wikimedia Argentina had to do to keep its existance), it was really understimated: 500 ARS was less than the monthly fee of our accounting external office or the average bank fees per month. That is something that we are changing for next grant submisssions. --Osmar Valdebenito (WMAR) (talk) 12:58, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
