Concern

I don't think it'd be a good idea to add in something that establishes a hierarchy given Wikimedia Commons projects generally focused on the principle that anyone can edit. Preventing edit wars is important, but I think the best solution for such a problem needs to ensure that the end result is the consensus, rather than what the original editor wanted. Since Wikipedia and Wikibooks as well as many other projects focus on collaboration between editors, this solution seems to create more of a divide between the original editor and any future editors. I checked a few projects - Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikinews, Wikiversity - and they all have in some form or another a guideline stating something to the effect of "be bold". Aren't we preventing bold editing by giving original editors significantly more power? Appable (talk) 17:05, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

April 12 Proposal Deadline: Is your project ready for funding?

The deadline for Individual Engagement Grant (IEG) submissions this round is April 12th, 2016. If you’ve developed your idea into a project that would benefit from funding, consider applying!

To apply, you must (1) create a draft request using the “Expand into an Individual Engagement Grant” button on your idea page, (2) complete the proposal entirely, filling in all empty fields, and (3) change the status from "draft" to "proposed." As soon as you’re ready, you should begin to invite any communities affected by your project to provide feedback on your proposal talk page.
