Finalize your proposal by September 30!

[edit]

Hi Nicholas DiCostanzo. Thank you for drafting this proposal!

  • We're hosting one last IEG proposal help session in Google Hangouts this weekend, so please join us if you'd like to get some last-minute help or feedback as you finalize your submission.
  • Once you're ready to submit it for review, please update its status (in your page's Probox markup) from DRAFT to PROPOSED, as the deadline is September 30th.
  • If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me (IEG committee member) or Siko (IEG program head), or just post a note on this talk page and we'll see it.

Connecting with the New York Chapter?

[edit]

This seems like the kind of project that a local chapter is generally well-placed to help support - is the New York Chapter involved in this initiative, and if not, should they be? Siko (WMF) (talk) 22:03, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Moving to a Project and Event Grant

[edit]

Hi Nicholas DiCostanzo, Thanks for this thoughtful submission! Based on an initial read of your proposal, we believe this project would be a better fit for our Project and Event Grants program, which commonly funds local community initiatives along similar lines. Assuming you'd like to proceed, my colleague Alex Wang can help you to move your proposal page into a Project and Events Grant, and I expect she will be well-placed to advise on some best practices for your project as well. I'm updating the status of this proposal to "draft," meanwhile, to allow space for that discussion to move forward outside of the IEG review timeline. Please let us know if you have any questions! Best wishes, Siko (WMF) (talk) 22:03, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Status update?

[edit]

Hi there,

I see you updated the status back to proposed (after the review period for this round of IEG had passed. Does that mean that you're hoping to resubmit this to IEG in a future round, or are you instead preparing a draft to move to PEG as suggested? Would love to better understand your thoughts, so a response here on the talk page would be much appreciated. Thanks! Siko (WMF) (talk) 18:41, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
