• WMF & WMDE agreed this grant would not go through WMF's grants process due to the nature of the event.
• This summit is an important milestone in this year's movement strategy process and is likely to play a key role in moving the work forward.
• We anticipate WMDE will organize a seamless conference with excellent logistics. Program will be designed around strategy.
• We anticipate several "add-on" events before and after, which will add more value to the event.
• Participation continues to be an issue we have to resolve in the longer term, as user groups affiliates continue to grow, adding pressure to our participation #s and without sufficient clarity on who needs to be there.
• The grant amount is very high cost event, at 426,000 euros for 200 participants. The cost per participant has grown in recent years. This will need to be considered again as we move forward in the future for this event.
• Previous reports (narrative and financial) were reviewed and accepted by WMF. Thank you, WMDE team for submitting these comprehensive reports!
