Did you meet your goals?

The main goal of this project is adding images to pages lacking photo, Improve article's quality by adding more photos, Recruit new editors, and Increase skills for existing editors. We succeeded in improving 457 articles mainly in Igbo Wikipedia, English and recruited 4 new participants in the course of this project.

  • What worked well? The level of contributions on Igbo Wikipedia since the inception of WPWP campaign in my community is high compared to other past ones.
  • What did not work so well? The delay with the proposal review and funding affected our community planning, communication and engagement as a result this costed the campaign to run for two weeks instead of one month.
  • What would you do differently next time? Secure timely funding to enable us have early preparation prior to proposal start/launch date.

  • Projector Hire = #20,000
  • Local transportation for logistics of organizers - #18,000
  • Venue rental for 1 day training and photo upload - #40,000
  • Communication and Internet support for organizers - #15,000
  • Internet Support for participants - #1500 × 15 = 22,500
  • Prizes for Top 3 winners =45,000
