About me

I am a Wikipedian since 2012. I received B.E in Electronics and Communications Engineering from KMCT College of Engineering (University of Calicut), India, and has successfully completed the MIT Accelerating Information Technology Innovation (AITI) Startup Accelerator Program at IIT Bombay in 2013 and Jagriti Yatra 2013. Also the founder of two multidisciplinary startups FareShare and Coffye Innovations. An engineering professional with a passion towards technology and innovations. Expert in the technology, tools and management techniques, required creating first class products quickly and consistently. And a former Google Student Ambassador and Organizer of Google Developers Groups Kozhikode, involved in Google product testing, activities and many other initiatives as part of my term at Google. Also an active IEEE volunteer for past 5 years with high-level management, technical and leadership skills.

My Works and Contributions to Community

Currently the Community Manager of Google Developers Group Kozhikode (GDG Kozhikode). GDG Kozhikode is an amazing platform for technical enthusiasts, developers and designers. We put together a bunch of initiatives and events for Developers and Open Source community. I was involved in organizing Wikipedia talks during the regular meetups of GDG Kozhikode. Recently we have organized some amazing talks and events like Session on Editing Wikipedia by Netha Hussain (Editor at Wikipedia) to give awareness about Wikipedia and its opportunities to young developers and students across the city and Women Techmakers: Kozhikode 2014 to enhance the women engagement towards developers and open source field. Google I/O 2014

Fortunate to be selected as an invited participant by Google Inc. to attend Google I/O 2014 (Google's annual conference for developers and technologists) at Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA on June 25 ­ 26, 2014 as an important partner to Google.

Google I/O is an annual developer­ focused conference held by Google in San Francisco, California. Google I/O features highly technical, in depth sessions focused on building web, mobile, and enterprise applications with Google and open web technologies such as Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, Google APIs, Google Web Toolkit, App Engine, and more. Google I/O was started in 2008.

Google Developer Community Summit 2014

Also invited by Google Inc. to attend Google Developer Community/Organizer Summit 2014 in Googleplex, Mountain View, CA (Google HQ) on June 23 ­ 24, 2014 as recognition of my involvement in community. The Google Developer Community/Organizer Summit is a 2-day event happening on Monday, June 23 - Tuesday, June 24 at the Googleplex in Mountain View, CA. The organizers or leads of Google Developer Groups across world (103 countries and 522 chapters) attending this summit.

Silicon Valley Tour

Along with my trip to United States to attend Google conference and meetings, I would like to visit world’s best Silicon Valley based companies and universities to learn their ecosystem, meet their leaders and bring back something really useful to our youngsters and startup community.

Google Developer Community Summit 2014

We have a slot for lightning talk and demos in Google Developer Community Summit 2014 agenda, where the GDG leads will talk and discuss about different topics which will help the entire community. Currently planning to talk about the wide opportunities and resources available for Developers on Wikipedia and to engage in discussions with the GDG leads about the future scopes Wikipedia from a developer perspective. The topic name will be 'Developing with Wiki', there many opportunities for developers on Wikipedia like Web API, Developer hub, Tech/Ambassadors, etc. Also I will attend the sessions like community management, team building, etc. which will help me to organize and host future Wikipedia talks and sessions with best quality.

Google I/O 2014

I will be around to engage and promote in discussions about Wikimedia. Also I will encourage the awareness about how developers can contribute to Wikipedia. Also planning to attend the keynote and other developer session, from which I can bring back some best practices to the community, which will help the developers to implement on their Wikipedia projects.

Silicon Valley Tour

Also planning for talks and discussions with the students and developers about Wikipedia in universities and companies visiting.

Visit to Wikimedia Foundation HQ

Also I would like to visit Wikimedia Foundation HQ to meet the Wikimedia team and share my ideas and suggestions. Also along with this, as per the massive request from our community members we would like to host a Google+ Hangout with one of the Wikipedia engineering team member from Wikipedia Foundation to talk about Wikipedia Opportunities and Resources available for Developers, also where developers can share their ideas and clear their doubts from Wikipedia team. It will be a great opportunity for the entire community members.
