Outcome
[edit]- Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?
- Add a link here to a blog post or newsletter you wrote about your participation afterwards, or to a meet-up you organized to share your experience with your local community.
For the first time in my 4 years participation in the production of the the Wikimedia Research Newsletter, I met with my co-collaborates at Wikimania 2018, and delivered a presentation titled "The Pipeline of Online Participation Inequalities: The Case of Wikipedia Editing" I continue to be engaged with the production and review process of the monthly Wikimedia Research Newsletter that informs the Wikimedia community by covering research updates of relevance to the Wikimedia community. About a month after my return from Wikimania, I organised an editathon together with another Wikimania participant (User:Cellestinesuccess) to improved coverage of content related to corruption and corruption incidences in Ghana: Wikipedia Corruption Editathon - Pilot 3
Connections
[edit]I made new connections at Wikimania in cluding Leon Liesener, Benjamin Mako Hill, Amir Aharoni and Mckensie Mark. I also met with foundation staff who walked me though resolving problems I encountered in the process of setting up MediaWiki as a CRM for my organisation.
