Outcome

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?

Add a link to something new that was created as a result of your participation in this event (for example, you might link to a new tool that you and your co-participants worked on at the Hackathon, or to pages created in a workshop you participated in).

An ad hoc meeting was held between me in my position as Chair of the election committee, the board liaison, the board governance committee liaison, and an election committee advisor to discuss the organisation of future Wikimedia elections. This has resulted in a detailed timeline and plan for the next two years. The longer term usefulness or otherwise of this will be seen in time base on how well organised and ran the elections will be.

• I organised this year WikiWomen's Lunch which was attended by approximately 80 people.
• I attended the WikiWomen Camp 2017 meetup to discuss results from the earlier conference, and Wikimedia Diversity Conference meetup to discuss the upcoming conference.
• A meetup of the Commons Photographers User Group was organised by Frank Schulenburg which I attended. This meeting has resulted in the (currently early) planning of a possible large gathering in 2018 either as a photographer meetup and/or Commons Conference.
