Outcome

[edit]

Wikimania 2016 was my second Wikimania. Wikimania 2015 helped me to work not only with my community but with other chapters, user groups and individual wikipedians over the world. During one year I participated in many wiki projects and helped younger wikimedians of my community to be involved. Wikimania 2016 will strengthen collaboration with many more communites. During the event I have the feeling that I am meeting members of a big world family.

Inspired by Italy, people, hospitality my 4th round of 100wikidays is devoted to Italy, the first article being The Floating Piers which was taking place simultaneously with WIkimania 2016.

It was a great pleasure to hear my countries, my chapter’s and my name during several presentations (The coolest projects of Wikimedia Chapters - be inspired by Darya Kantor, Deror Lin, The Archives Challenge by Spasimir Pilev, Starting from scratch by Isla Haddow, The system of interdependent Wikimedia projects by Susanna Mkrtchyan).

I found out that many international projects I participated during the year were presented for the coolest project of the year and the organizers and some of the participants were present and we shared the emotions face to face.

While participating at IdeaLab Workshop by Chris Schilling and Marti Johnson I was inspired by Theodora Theofilatou success project.

I will have chance to share my Wikimania 2016 experience and emotions with WikiCamp Armenia participants at the end of July, 2016.

Connections

[edit]

I met many online colleagues in person with whom I have only worked online. I met Wikipedians from Wikimedia España (Rubén Ojeda with whom I have also shared the experience at GLAMing Madrid Challenge) with whom Armenian chapter will start a project in September.

Have the chance to share some great experience with Jane023 (Netherlands) on GLAM related issues, TED conferences/TED speakers challenge, finnaly met Shani Evenstein Sigalov (we had hangout interview and it was nice to meet her in person), met Iolanda Pensa (enjoyed her company also at friendly home atmosphere), Marek Stelmasik (he thinks I am a real inspiration for 100wikidays), Lluís Madurell Alemany, Satdeep Gill, Beĥruzbek Oĉilov, Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight, Alice Wiegand, Tomas Saorin, Gereon Kalkuhl, Mpho Sello, Venus Lui, Farah Jack Mustaklem, Liridon Selmani.

Anything else

[edit]

I uploaded more than 350 photos into commons of the event and Lombardy nature.

During the sessions that I participated I posted the event in facebook with a photo and subject so that other wikipedians who are my friends in FB can see it and if interested go far.

Thank you everybody for a well organized event ǃ
