Proposed participation

I am an active Wikipedian co-leading the m:WikiFundi project. I was invited to attend the Hackathon Wikimania 2017, planned immediately after Wikimania in Montreal. I want to learn more about the other offline solutions in the wiki sphere and related to the wikisphere. I want to provide feedback on the pilot version of WikiFundi and discuss its future. Hopefully get some bugs and improvements fixed during the Hackathon. I also want to talk with the other people working with offline solutions to envision larger distribution. I also would like to discuss a media wiki extension [1] and in particular to get mobile use addressed.

I live in France. I will attend Wikimania in Montreal. The event is hosted by the State University of New York at Potsdam immediately after Wikimania. I will travel to Potsdam on the 13 evening then return on the 16 in Montreal to catch my flight to France.

Goal and expected impact

As a result of my presence, increase of awareness in an offline solution (WikiFundi), new contacts for its distribution or educational projects, bugs/improvements fixed or tech roadmap clarified.
