Proposed Participation
[edit]I am a Wikimedian from Kenya, and a former member of Wikimedia Kenya. I instigated an offline Wikipedia project in Kenya and Tanzania which I will talk about at OKFestival's "Open Development" Stream and share my experiences of sharing free knowledge in the developing world.
Goal and Expected Impact
[edit]- Sharing the successes and challenges I faced with offline Wikipedia, hoping that some of the attendants would be willing to replicate this project in their respective countries.
- Getting new ideas on how to improve Offline Wikipedia, and other Open Development projects' impact in developing countries.
- Forming relationships/ possible partnerships with interested attendants.
