Donatien Kangah[edit]

Donatien Kangah is the current Chairman of the Wikimedia User Group Côte d’Ivoire.

In 2015, He became “BSF young leader” for the innovation in libraries through Sub-Sahara. He had been selected by the french NGO Libraries Without Borders because of the “Ivory Coast GLAM project”, which aims to connect African libraries with Wikimedia Community in order to capitalize African knowledge through the world on Internet. Social entrepreneur and content editor, he is also the cofounder of the first Ivorian Bloggers Association.

With his web agency E-voir, he has won many individual and community prizes like Ashoka Emerging Young Leader 2015, IYF Fellow 2015, Innov4Africa 2014, Best Community Manager of Côte d’Ivoire 2012, etc.

Samuel Guebo[edit]

Since 2008 as User:African Hope, he has been editing Wikipedia, in French mainly, as well as its sister projects, operating a bot and submitting few patches to MediaWiki on Gerrit. He was deeply involved in the growth of the local User Group. From its official affiliation in 2014 until today various roles were assigned to Samuel : Wikipedian in Residence, GLAM-WIKI Coordinator, and since 2017, Vice-Chair of the WCUG-CI. However, what he enjoys the most is coordinating the editorial aspects of the User Group's edit-a-thons. This task implies preparing the topics that will be edited in advance, coaching contributors, reporting edits, etc. Also, he has been working for 7 months as the Strategy Coordinator for the French-speaking communities helping the French community speak with its own voice about the Wikimedia movement's future.

Colette Guebo[edit]

Colette Guébo started editing on Wikipedia in 2015 as a member of the local user group of Côte d'Ivoire. Regular contributor since 2016 with the Wiki Loves Women, she attended the WikiMOOC 2017, a MOOC on Wikipedia organized by Wikimedia France, and obtained a certificate. She was elected as Deputy Treasurer during the latest election board in 2017. She later helped to summarize the French discussions of the Wikimedia 2030 Strategy as a volunteer and also worked as project assistant during the pilot phase of the Education programme in Côte d’Ivoire in 2017. She is currently trainer for the 1Lib1ref 2018 campaign in Côte d’Ivoire where she helps librarians to make their first edit on Wikipedia. Colette is also assistant and trainer for the Classes Wikipedia project 2018 in Côte d’Ivoire.

Dominique Eliane Yao[edit]

Having graduated in Communication, Dominique Eliane is passionate of ICT, media, and journalism. She joins the Ivorian Wikimedia community in 2014.

Since then, she is actively campaigning in the local User Group as an auditor. For her commitment and the interest attached to the Wiki projects, she has been chosen to lead the Wiki Loves Women in Côte d'Ivoire. She is also responsible for Wikimousso, a pole dedicated to the women of the community which objective is to increase their commitment in the movement in Cote d’Ivoire. She decided to be part of "Classes Wikipedia" trainers in order to give young people the chance to know how to use this beautiful encyclopedia that covers a galaxy of knowledge, just as she had the chance to do so in 2014.

Marius Kouadio[edit]

Marius Kouadio (Kwadyo) is a social media manager and blogger from Cote d'Ivoire.

He is working currently at Akendewa, an NGO developing social initiatives backed up by ICT, as community manager and teacher for Sheisthecode, a programme of Akendewa targeting young girls. He joined Wikimedia Cote d'Ivoire in 2015 during Wiki Loves Women edit-athons and also helped translate dozens of articles form English to French and vice-versa. During the pilot phase of the education programme in 2017, he served as a trainer.

Kahou Touré[edit]

Since 2015, Kahou serves as the Director of Documentary Productions for the Ivorian National Memory of the World Committee for UNESCO since 2015. He started editing Wikipedia in 2017 as part of #1Lib1ref campaign during which he and twenty others librarians were introduced to Wikipedia and its sister projects. He is passionate of mobile technology, internet, science, photography and cinema, and is thirsty for technological research especially in the field of ICT.

Yao Didier[edit]

Yao Kouamé Didier is member of Wikimedia Côte d'Ivoire since 2016. He actively took part in all the organization activities and meetings. He also helped as a volunteer to summarize the discussions about the Wikimedia 2030 strategy. He joined "Les Classes Wikipedia" project to contribute to a better understanding of the Wikimedia movement and allow the neophytes to acquire good editing skills.
