Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

It will be three days series of edit-a-thon. I and facilitators we will teach the participants how to make editing on Wiktionary and guid them to create and make editing on Hausa Wiktionary.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will let the participants know via our existence WhatsApp group of Wikimedians Community of Funtua area. I will also announce via Our Hausa Wikimedians WhatsApp and Telegram groups, I will also announce via our Hausa Wikipedia and Hausa Wiktionary Discussion pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?

For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will communicate with them via Our Wikimedians of Funtua WhatsApp group, and I will also communicate with them via phone call. Some of the participants are my course mate, I will inform them face to face in college.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Some participants have smartphones and some have Laptops, we will provide them with Data.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

We already have a WhatsApp group, I will continue engaging them there. And many of the participants are my coursemate, I will continue engaging them in school.

7. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. 8. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

We have a new editors in Funtua, this kind of events will help for engaging them to Wikimedia Projects.

What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).

  • Yusuf Sa'adu, I'm project's lead. I have participated in many Wikimedia events in Kaduna and Kano, I also organised Wikipedia Workshop in Funtua which I have recruited some editors in Funtua.
  • Hamza DK, is an active Wikipedia and Wiktionary editor, he has organised a Wikipedia event and has facilitated and Participated in so many Wikimedia projects.
  • Umar-askira, he's an experienced Wikimedia editor and has experience in organizing events. He has organised and been a facilitator in so many Wikimedia events.

  • Transport - for facilitators - ₦10000 ×5 = 50,000, $120.27 (this for Facilitators transport from to their destinations
