Activities

[edit]
Wiki Loves Africa 2017 in Tunisia was the fourth experience of WLA in Tunisia and the seventh Wiki loves contest. As part of Wiki Loves Africa this year we have organized three events:
Photos of activities

Lessons learned

[edit]
What worked well?

This year a big social media publicity campaign was done to promote the event throughout the territory of Tunisia, 27 new participants participated and now, they know more about Wikimedia and our activities. Craftsmen was photographed specially in the Medina of Tunisia. So now, we have many pictures to use in our articles in Wikipedia.

What didn't work?
not all "people at work" accepted to be photographed and we received money late so we could not make our photowalk to Sejnen.
What would you do differently if you planned a similar project?
we would do our events earlier(in the summer) because there are many summer jobs we couldn’t photography.

We are trying to understand the overall outcomes of the work being funded across our grantees. We know that not all projects will have results for each type of metric, so feel free to put "0" where necessary.

  1. Next to each required metric, list the actual outcome achieved through this project.
  2. Where necessary, explain the context behind your outcome. For example, if you were funded for an edit-a-thon which resulted in 0 new images, your explanation might be "This project focused solely on participation and articles written/improved, the goal was not to collect images."
