Learning[edit]
Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- The mobilization of participants during the in real life sessions of workshop, training, upload and editathon
- The commitment of participants motivated by the desire to win a prize
- The media coverage gave more visibility to the contest and our activities on several social media pages
- Reinforcing Partnership with Campus Numerique francophone de Cotonou
- Awareness-raising in Cotonou and Abomey-Calavi allowed the participation of more professional photographers than previously
- The adaptation and precautions to solve the COVID-19 issues
- What did not work so well?
- Bad internet connexion sometimes during uploading session
- Participants would like outgoings or photo walk sessions
- We would like more number of professional photographers within the participants
- No local sponsors
- Institut Français du Benin was closed during the period due to COVID and we weren't able to organize activities in their library.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Contacting sooner more sponsors and improve the submitted project documents
- Trying to interest more professional photographers
- Involve more participants to online uploading sessions and editathons.
