Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
- The goal for the Wiki Loves Monuments competition (add or improve content) was met. The project went well considering the little preparation that went into it.
Outcome
[edit]Please report on your original project targets.
Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
Number of participants: 20 per country |
36 in Jordan and 13 in Palestine | Target met in Jordan, but not in Palestine |
Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons: 100 in each country |
Jordan 624, Palestine 142 | Target met |
Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects: 20 in each country |
Jordan 15, Palestine 9 | Target not met |
Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- Good quality photos were added to Commons, and the judging and award giving went smoothly
- What did not work so well?
- Preparation for the competition... We joined the competition at the last minute, and did not have time to advertise it well enough to increase participation, as well as better define most useful photo.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Next time we would make the decision on participation well in advance, and prepare for it by arranging photo walks, and well publicizing the competition.
