  1. What community or communities will be involved in this movement strategy discussion(s)?
    Spanish speaking Wikimedians, both online and offline participants.
  2. How will you make sure everyone is invited?

  3. How will you document community discussion(s) and feedback related to movement strategy? Who will be responsible for documenting these discussions?
    The documentation will be in parallel with the meeting, through voice interpretation and translation to the participants.
  4. What is your facilitation plan to support productive discussions around movement strategy? Please also provide a link to a Friendly Space Policy that will be implemented to support these discussions.
    Interpretation for Spanish speaking Wikimedians in order to ensure inclusivity in the global community conversation. The interpretation will go on two directions (English->Spanish) to introduce the participants and share content with them, and then (Spanish->English) to share feedback and comments from the Spanish speaking wikimedians with other participants in break out groups, to bridge the gaps.

    - English-to-Spanish interpretation service during the opening and closing presentations of the movement strategy global events.
    - Additional support for non-English fluent Spanish speakers during break-out sessions in the two global events.
    - Translation of strategy-related written documents from English to Spanish.

The budget is calculated in number of hours times a fixed rate of 25 EUR/hour (average price for a similar role)

  • Facilitation (facilitation time including facilitator preparation, meeting facilitation time, and debriefing): 10 hours * 25 = 250 EUR (~ 302.90 USD)
    • 3 events with a total duration of 12 hours
      • Interim Global Council: Saturday January 23 10:00 to 14:00 UTC - 4 hours + 1 hour call prep (5 hours)
      • Interim Global Council: Sunday January 24 17:00 to 21:00 UTC - 4 hours + 1 hour call prep (5 hours)
      • Funding for underrepresented communities: Friday Jan. 29 14:00 to 16:00 UTC - 2 hours + 1 hour call prep (3 hours)
  • Documentation (document preparation time, time spent documenting of discussion, post-meeting work): 1 hour * 25 = 25 EUR (~ 30.29 USD)'
