Goals

[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes, the goals were met in terms of engaging new editors and improving the GLAM content related to India on Commons. In, fact we had more uploads than the set target. However, the resource building activity was challenging. While we appreciate the suggestions given by the grant review committee, and were eager to work towards it, we did not have the capacity for the same and feedback from scholars was contrary to our expectations.

Outcome

[edit]

Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.

Learning

[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

The new editors were enthusiastic about the edit-a-thon event which resulted in a more number of quality uploads than expected.

  • What did not work so well?

The subject experts were a bit reluctant to record lectures based on the images that were uploaded on Wikimedia Commons.

  • What would you do differently next time?

We will reach out to external resources before hand so that there's no delay in the execution of the goals.
