"The Museum of Modern Art/Art+Feminism Edit-a-thon 2020"
Art+Feminism is a non-profit organization that directly addresses the inequality of gender, feminism, and the arts on Wikipedia. Through building a global community and hosting edit-a-thons around the world, they work to close the gaps in content and with editors. MoMA has partnered with Art + Feminism for the past 7 years to host the international kickoff edit-a-thon for Art+Feminism, which includes a full day training sessions for new editors, communal editing, gallery sessions, artmaking workshops and a live-streamed panel discussion, this year around the theme of Art+Activism. targethttp://www.artandfeminism.org/

Typically around 200 people attend this event, which is the largest Art+Feminism edit-a-thon internationally. Typically 100 people attend the public panel and because we livestream it, typically around 3000 people view that video on YouTube. We also offer related gallery sessions in MoMA's galleries and more than 100 people attend those including members of the general public. This year we plan to have programming in the creativity lab which is just above MoMA's main lobby, and anticipate reaching upwards of 500 people with messaging about Art+Feminism in that space, which may draw more people to the event in the Education Building.

The event is on March 14, 2020 so we would likely spend the funds between March 1 and 30 when we are ordering food and paying invoices.
