1. What is your promotion plan?
You can produce an animation video to promote a Wikimedia project and promote it by using ads on Twitter. You can promote an online campaign, such as Wiki Loves Monuments, by producing an interview video and promoting it on Facebook, Twitter, etc., using ads.

We are going to produce 1 promotional video about Dalit History Month Edit-a-thon in Santali language and we will be promoting the video over a period of 4 weeks on Facebook and Twitter in regions with significant Santali population in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.


2. How will you let your community know about the promotion campaign?

We have notified the Santali Wikipedia community (include link) and some community members have already signed up to volunteer for the project.


3.Do you have any experience in online promotion or video production?
Were you involved in a similar project in the past? Do you have any other experience in producing videos or multimedia files?

No, This is our first time. We will be experimenting around video production and online promotion.


4. Do you or others in your team have the skills needed to manage the video production and promotional campaign?
Do you already have a team and specific roles assigned to people based on tasks such as scriptwriting, direction, cinematography, etc.?

We have already written a script with the help of some community members (User:Example1 and User:Example2) who have previous experience in theatre and producing multimedia content. We have also identified a production company named ABC to deliver the video. We will be promoting the Dalit History Month Edit-a-thon on Facebook and we plan to use this video and promote it using facebook ads. We will focus on Santali speaking facebook users. Besides the video, we will create two other messages, one text and an image with text. We will do an ABC testing with these three creative messages to see what performs better.


5. What’s your post promotion plan?
What do you plan to do after your campaign ends?

We plan to analyze the effectiveness of the project to bring in new readers. We will be doing a survey to understand how many participants signed up to participate after watching the video. Upon successful completion, we plan to produce similar videos for the promotion of other Wikimedia projects and campaigns.
