1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?

The project aims to make awareness of the fundamental rights to a healthy environment in Rwanda focusing on impact of biodiversity loss on people, through a writing contest with the objective for the community to understand how human wellbeing is dependent to biodiverse natural ecosystem . One of the challenges is to get expertise in these topics and be able to contextualize, matching the aspects of fundamental human rights , the principles of conservation and biodiversity and community engagement, as an example the newly initiated urban wetlands parks and their impact on human well being. In order to achieve these objectives we will invite two experts in the networks of Wikimedia movement preferably mastering these subjects to animate a workshop and assist the participants in the contest to understand better the basic principles to base on writing articles. 10 experienced community members will actively participate in the workshop with hands on exercises in order to gain skills and these will be mentors of the rest of the participants.

Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

We will mainly channel the discussion and awareness through our project discussion and talk pages , We shall use as well our facebook,Instagram, WhatsApp social media platforms and radio stations.
