Learning
[edit]- What worked well?
For me everything worked well. Being a project lead of Wiki Loves Earth PH since 2018 taught me a lot of things when it comes to organizing and making the project successful. Collaboration is the key. This year was still a challenging one due to pandemic. But surprisingly support from volunteers and team members were evident at all times. The WLE International team also never failed me in giving technical support and providing assistance all throughout the campaign. The popularity of the contest with the help of social media promotion was very effective. It gave me an opportunity to invite professional photographers to be regular contributors in Wikimedia Commons and support other projects not just WLE. The positive feedbacks from them and the trust as an organizer give a sense of fulfillment.
- What would you do differently next time?
I will focus on creating new articles in Edit-a-thon. Maybe using specific hashtag so that it's easy for me to monitor. Anyway there's still room for improvement. If the situation permits, photo walks should be conducted.
