Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
What worked well?
Planning
What did not work so well?
The weather in Lagos states ruined some of the outing dates. We visited some institutions more than once meanwhile our budget only had provision for 1 photowalk per institution.
Some of the participants were unavailable for rescheduled photowalk dates.
What would you do differently next time?
I will pay attention to weather forecast reports before picking a date for a photowalk. Also, it may be best to embark on photowalks during the dry season, rain disturbed us a lot.
I would be fluid with participation; have less participants and longer tour durations.
Do you have any remaining grant funds?
No. I have a deficit budget of $72 which was extra cost for transportation for the 9th photowalk. Miscellaneous fund was added up and left me with a $22 deficit.
Anything else you want to share about your project?
Photowalk8 Photo from our tour to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladoke_Akintola_University_of_Technology. We meet the university librarian who happens to be wikipedia editors too. She showed her willingness to partner on trainings and educating both staff and students of the institution on how to contribute to Wikipedia. It was a great feeling for me!
