Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
I think I met only 60% of the project goals, but we are satisfied and happy about the work we have done and what we learned about it.
Outcome
[edit]Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.
Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
Number of total participants (new registered wikimedians) 40 | 42 | |
Number of articles created or improved (if applicable) 400 | 60 | The big problem we faced during the project was that most of the participants didn't have a laptop in their house. Also in high schools there was computer science labs but unfortunately with no internet connection .So, the main difficulty was in logistics |
Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons (if applicable) 100 | 0 | logistic problem (lack of laptops and internet connection ) |
Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects (if applicable) 50 | 0 | logistic problem (lack of laptops and internet connection ) |
Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
The organization of the workshops was great.
The participants were satisfied and enjoyed the workshops and photo walk.
- What did not work so well?
- Absence of participants ( some participants attend only one workshop )
- Lack of equipment (laptops and internet connection)
- What would you do differently next time?
If we organize this kind of project next time we will accept participants that have laptops and internet connection in their house so they can continue editing without any problem.
