Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
I am not only happy, the experience has exceeded my expectations. They are not oly interested in organizing Programa de educacion con docentes de la universidad and Club de niñas en Wikipedia but also in my Wikitherapy project. To organize the edita-a-thons in different cities allowed me to know the country.

Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
To build a wikimedian community in Dominican Republic that could access and contribute to free knowledge. | Done | As a result of the great success of the edith-a-thons, I am very proud to announce that we created a new user group. Many of the women who attended the edita-a-thons promised that they will follow the user group. Wikimedistas de Republica Dominicana. We talked about creating an Education Program with university professors to teach with Wikipedia in the classroom. |

To improve Wikidata. | Done | Every article was also created in Wikidata. |
To create articles in Wikiquote | Not done | We had no enough time. I was able to explain to them what Wikiquote is and show them a model article so that if they wanted they could create an article at home. That was all. |

Learning
[edit]Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- The people were incredible, they welcomed me in a way that I will never forget. They are very open to free knowledge and wikimedia's projects. Even the Provost and the Dean at USAD are interested in supporting Wikimedistas de Republica Dominicana. The University will published something about the events.
- What did not work so well?
- We had connection problems in one of the events that prevented us from creating articles that day. We had previously tested the wifi connection but it was a global company problem. I had compatibility problems between my Apple Macbook and the operating system used by the university to project my classes in Power Point.
- What would you do differently next time?
- To carry the material in pendrive saved in different operating systems.

[edit]Anything else you want to share about your project?
We always follow the new editors and watch the new articles. I maintain contact online to encourage them to edit and to build community. They are still uploading photos and creating articles and I am helping them. I hope that this event can be replicated next year with the support of Muj(lh)eres latinoamericanas en Wikimedia and Wikimedia Foundation.
