- Add or improve content (and visibility) about women artists / 'artivists
- Recruit new editors, particularly women
- Engage existing editors
Project Plan
[edit]Activities
[edit]Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?
- We aim at organizing
4 edit-a-thons in person. This entails the 1st event being: Launching the project; 2nd and 3rd being an edit-a-thon and the last one event being the closing ceremony.
2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.
- The project will be announced via our meta-page.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.
- We shall reach them using Emails, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, radio stations and phone calls and other Local communication channels such as:
- Rwanda Wikimedia Community User Group Facebook page
- WhatsApp Platforms
And the project has been announced via our meta-page.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.
For example: User:I JethroBT
5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?
- Participants are provided with links to Tutorials before the event, as well as a guide to signing up on Wikipedia / editing Wikipedia and adding Commons Uploads. At the venue, they are trained again, and sometimes, also in updating Wikidata, etc. We also provide a list of women artists / pages to be created or edited along with a list of online reference links, participants are asked to carry their own laptops to the event. Our team is able to support with 2-3 additional laptops when necessary.
6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?
- I expect to maintain a list of past Art+Feminism participants who are sent regular updates / stories about women in art; thank them for their contributions and update them about the impact (including statistics). After the event, I will also send them a feedback form, and encourage them to share women-in-art stories on social media throughout the year.
I expect to have more new members join the community and contribute to the Wikimedia movement
7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
