International World Women’s day is an annual event, celebrated globally on the 8th of March .

In Nigeria, women related contents are underrepresented on Wikipedia. hows that the platform has 5 thousand Plus contents on Nigerian Women.

As at the last national censor, Nigerian population was put at 190million . This figure comprises a contentious figure of 55% women. In absolute term, Nigeria has an estimated 100million of its population as female. If the statistics is right, It shows that there is urgent need to address the gap. Meanwhile, on the issue of Wikidata, though the figure shows might not be correct because there might be data from Wikipedia that were properly fed into it. The project will also plan to address it.
