Goals
[edit]Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
- Organize the contest in four regions of Cameroon
- Train the trainers of each region
- Engage new contributors
- Emphasis on training sessions by professionnal photographers to facilitate newers about photography work
- Share useful skills of how to contribute to wikimedia commons and how to contribute useful photos which can be used in other Wikimedia projects.
- Train new editors through online photo upload sessions.
- Add more images about the topic of the year in our country
- Create awareness about the Wikimedia movement and its activities.

- What worked well?
- All of the sessions were a great experience as we gave a new way of running campaigns by including an extra layer that we called regional trainers.
- Good number of professional photographer who become contributors.
- The four regions in contest
- We were able to interest the Garoua locality
- What did not work so well?
- Delay in launching, monitoring and achieving project objectives due to late funding
- We were forced to pre-finance several activities
- What would you do differently next time?
- Strengthen communication within the User Group
- Create many teams to facilitate execution of project

Remaining funds
[edit]Do you have any remaining grant funds?
Partial for gifts, there is Android tablet which we have to buy. $1.13 due to the difference between the amount received and the total used. The printing of photos and certificates, the closing ceremony and the jury gift and the internet costs are not yet finished. $310.34 is concerned. We see how to organize the ceremony at the latest in November or not. A discussion is underway with the winners. The prizes will be sending by end November.

The fees were used for closing ceremony which was taking place at 14th march 2023 in National Museum of Cameroon
Program Officer notes: René has confirmed on March 23, 2024 that the closing ceremony was organized and the rest of the funds were used as planned.
